Guests from the Perm region got acquainted with the spiritual heritage of Svetlogorsktranslated

On October 27, 2026, a delegation from the sister city Chernushka, Perm Territory, visited Svetlogorsk. The guests got acquainted with the educational institutions of the region, as well as with its historical and spiritual heritage.
One of the points of the program was a visit to the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Svetlogorsk, where the delegation was met by the rector of the parish, the dean of the Svetlogorsk district, Archpriest Alexander Kisel.
The priest spoke about the life of the parish and the deanery, as well as how cooperation was built with the education department of the Svetlogorsk district. At the beginning and end of the school year, prayer services are held in churches, excursions are held for schoolchildren, and priests participate in meetings with students and teachers.
Separately, the guests got acquainted with the shrines of the church and the Alley of Lost Churches. This project reminds us of the shrines of the Svetlogorsk region that have not survived to this day, and helps to carefully preserve the memory of the church history of the region.
