On September 6, 2026, on the 14th Sunday after Pentecost, the feast of the Council of Moscow Saints, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' led the All-Moscow religious procession with prayer singing to the Most Holy Theotokos and Moscow saints.

At the end of the All-Moscow religious procession, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill addressed the flock:

“I cordially congratulate all of you, dear bishops, fathers, brothers and sisters, on the holiday of the Council of Moscow Saints!

There are not many capitals in the world where such a holiday is celebrated. This suggests that the city of Moscow and our Fatherland were honored to have saints as a spiritual ideal, spiritual and even political mentors (especially in ancient times).

Indeed, the great princes who led our Fatherland, Orthodox sovereigns, who put a lot into strengthening Russia, its well-being, turning it into a world power with enormous power, did a lot for our country and, of course, for our Church.

These times are a thing of the past, and they did not go away easily - through violence, grief, repression, human suffering. Those who led Russia away from this historical path, probably, even in their worst dreams, could not imagine that we...
