The Gomel diocese donated equipment for working with minors to pre-trial detention center No. 3translated

On October 2, 2026, at the Gomel diocesan administration, His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, handed over a video camera with a tripod to the institution “Pretrial Detention Center No. 3” of the Department of Execution of Punishments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus for the Gomel Region.

The management of the institution had previously made a request to purchase equipment. The need for technology arose in connection with the work that correctional officers do with juveniles in custody. Teenagers participate in distance sports competitions, creative competitions, preventive video projects and other educational activities. The new camera will be used to take photographs and videos during the preparation and implementation of these initiatives.

In addition, the institution was given the necessary personal hygiene products.

Archbishop Stefan noted the importance of attention to minors who find themselves in difficult life circumstances, and wished the employees of the institution God's help, wisdom and strength in their responsible work.
