“The main assessment is your attitude towards God and your neighbors”: parting words to graduates in Dorokhovtranslated

July 1, 2026 · 1 min read

On June 27, a graduation party took place at the Dorokhovskaya school. The celebration was attended by graduates, parents, teaching staff and graduates of previous years.

The rector of the Church of the Intercession in the village of Aleksino, Archpriest Vadim Vladyshevsky, addressed the children with pastoral parting words. He emphasized that finishing school is only the first, albeit important, part of life’s journey. Now they are facing the start of a new stage, which can be compared to a competition. Everyone has their own goal: to become a scientist, businessman, doctor, start a family, have many children, devote themselves to politics. Father Vadim expressed the wish that God would always be present in everyone’s life, and that all endeavors would be based on the commandments that the children heard about at school meetings with the priest. They, according to him, are the foundation of human happiness and success. The priest recalled that the attitude towards God, towards one’s neighbor, towards each other and towards ourselves will be the most important assessment of the work that their mentors put into the graduates.
