The head of the Krasnoyarsk Metropolis led the funeral Liturgy in the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Consolation in Sorrows and Sorrows”translated

On November 7, on Dimitrievskaya Parent Saturday, Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Consolation in Sorrows and Sorrows” in the city of Krasnoyarsk.

His Eminence was served by: the rector of the church, Archpriest Valery Larin, and clergy from the churches of Krasnoyarsk.

The church choir performed the liturgical chants.

During the Liturgy, special petitions and prayers for Holy Rus' were offered. With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, this special prayer is performed in all churches of the Russian Orthodox Church at every service.

The sermon on the sacramental verse was delivered by the cleric of the church, Priest Gregory Korolik.

After the dismissal of the Liturgy, a requiem service was performed, at which prayers were offered for all Orthodox Christians who have departed from time immemorial, in the hope of resurrection and eternal life, after which Bishop Nikita addressed those gathered with an archpastoral word.

The head of the Krasnoyarsk Metropolis presented memorial signs “165 years of the formation of the Krasnoyarsk (Yenisei) Diocese” to Archpriest Valery Larin and Priest Gregory Korolik.
