The Archbishop of Krasnoyarsk Guided the Diocesan Educational Counciltranslated

On September 19, an eparchial educational council was held at the Archepiscopal House in Krasnoyarsk under the presidency of Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk.
The work of the council began with a general prayer "O Heavenly King," after which the participants watched a brief video about the Sunday school life in the diocese.
Archbishop Nikita addressed those present with an archpastoral word, thanking the teachers of the Sunday schools for their sacrificial labor and emphasizing that these are special educational institutions where children learn spiritual life. Their goals and methods are different: not to burden the child but to interest him and his parents so that school time is joyful. The Sunday school is a family uniting children and adults; therefore, work must be done comprehensively and unobtrusively. At the end, Archbishop Nikita congratulated those present on the start of the academic year, wishing divine help and grateful students, and reminded the rectors about supporting parish schools and encouraging teachers.
