The head of the Krasnoyarsk Metropolis performed a prayer service at the construction site of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Strelkatranslated

On September 21, on the feast of the Nativity of our Blessed Lady Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk performed a prayer service at the worship cross on Strelka, where the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be recreated.

All the clergy of Krasnoyarsk churches, as well as numerous believers, prayed during the service. Liturgical chants were performed by the children's and youth spiritual choir "Sofia".

At the end of the prayer service, Bishop Nikita performed the sprinkling, after which he addressed those gathered with an archpastoral word.

Exactly a year ago, in 2025, a festive prayer service and the laying of the cornerstone took place on Strelka - this place was chosen by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' to recreate the cathedral in 2012, during a visit to the Krasnoyarsk Metropolis. The honored guests took part in the formation of the “cornerstone” that will form the foundation of the cathedral in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
