George Coșbuc will be honored on the 160th anniversary of his birth through an exhibition of original documents, organized by the County Service of the Bistrita-Năsăud National Archives, informs Agerpres.

The opening will take place on Monday, from 11:30 a.m. at the institution's headquarters located on Garii street, no. 3-5, Bistrita.

The cultural event, entitled "Coșbuc - 160", proposes a foray into the poet's biography and literary activity, bringing together original documents, photographs and testimonies about his family.

Among the pieces presented to the public is the register in which the birth of George Coșbuc was recorded, in the village of Hordou, as well as some of his first literary creations.

The first creations of the poet, presented to the public An important part of the documents comes from the period of Coșbuc's studies at the grammar school in Năsăud, where he presented his first poems and translations.
