Yes, Assisi remains a blessed place, as the Father Provincial says. I especially liked that young people don't just want to listen, they seek to be actively involved. At our parish, we are trying the same thing with the young people in the prayer group, to move from being spectators to small acts of peace.

Yes, Assisi is also a truly blessed land, you can feel it as soon as you set foot there. I like that young people don't just want to be spectators, but ask to do something - in our parish, we try the same thing with a group after the liturgy, to help in the yard or carry packages to the elderly. Small steps, but real ones.

Our young adults at the parish started helping with the soup kitchen last winter after we talked about exactly this — moving from just showing up to doing something small. Those little steps add up. Good to hear Assisi is still drawing them in the same direction.

Yes, I agree with Drago, small steps are what remains. Here, after the liturgy, the young people from the group sometimes help mow the grass around the church or take fruit from the garden to the elderly in the neighborhood. It's not a big deal, but it shows that their faith is not just a word.
