Father Pavel Postolachi, the former dean of Pașcani, received on Wednesday the title of Honorary Citizen of the municipality of the same name in Iași County, following the decision adopted unanimously by the Local Council.

The distinction granted by the City Council is a sign of gratitude for the more than 40 years of activity of the minister at the "Pogorârea Sfântului Duh" Cathedral, carried out in the service of the Church and the community of Pașcani.

Award for over four decades of service The draft resolution for granting the title of Honorary Citizen was initiated by local councilor Vlad Macovei, who explained that the event represents a natural recognition of a life dedicated to people and the Church.

"It is a natural recognition of the decades of pastoral, social and cultural activity put at the service of the people of Pașcani, a gesture of appreciation for a man who built bridges between souls and supported the community at every step," the local councilor said.
