The movie "Wild Delta" will be broadcast on October 14, in a gala premiere at Cinema City Afi in Bucharest. The documentary was made over the course of five years, by the same team that was behind the Wild Romania project.
The documentary traces the biodiversity and life of the Danube Delta through the variety of species and places less accessible to the public.
The story is narrated by the voice of the actress Medeea Marinescu, and the soundtrack also includes a piece performed by the artist Irina Rimes.
"Dan Dinu and Cosmin Dumitrache spent 162 days in the field, where they filmed 13,000 frames totaling more than 48 hours", according to a statement published on the official România Sălbatică page.
The film supports the preservation of the Delta The initiative runs an educational campaign about the importance of wetlands in the carbon storage process and on the healthy development of the ecosystem and the local community.
A percentage of 10% of the proceeds obtained from the sale of cinema tickets for the documentary will be directed to the conservation project of the Ultima Frontieră area.
