The "Timotei Popovici" festival brings together 15 children's and youth choirs in Caransebeștranslated

The "Timotei Popovici" Children's and Youth Choir Festival will take place on Saturday at the "George Suru" House of Culture in Caransebeș, starting at 12:00.

The concert program will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service for Dumitru and Aurelia Jompan, which will be held at the "Resurrection of the Lord and the Holy Prophet Ilie Tesviteanul" Episcopal Cathedral.

At 12:00, the participants will give musical recitals at the cultural center in the municipality.

"The Timotei Popovici Choral Festival for Children and Youth is not only the longest-running festival of its kind dedicated to choral music, it is at the same time a context that the Diocese of Caransebeș makes available to young people, children, parents, and teachers," said Father Archimandrite Casian Rușeț, cultural advisor of the Diocese of Caransebeș.

"Young choristers from several areas of Banat and beyond, who listen to each other, who capitalize on their skills and more than that, spend quality time together in an appropriate cultural environment, in a cultural entertainment environment that is validated by its content."
