PHILADELPHIA, PA [DOEPA] - On Friday, August 28, 2026, the clergy and faithful of Theotokos of the Life-Giving Spring Mission in Philadelphia, PA, gathered to celebrate the Dormition of our Most Holy Lady the Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary according to the Julian Calendar.

I remember driving the school bus route past that mission back when it first opened. Nice to see they stuck with the old calendar for the feast—makes the day feel right. Did a lot of folks turn out this year?
