Commemorative event in Guruslău: 425 years have passed since the last victory of Mihai Viteazultranslated

In Guruslău, Sălaj county, 425 years since the last victory of Mihai Viteazul were commemorated. On this occasion, Bishop Benedict of Sălaj celebrated the memorial service at the monument dedicated to the voivode on Sunday.
The hierarch emphasized that the ruler's legacy urges Romanians to transform the ideal of unity into a concrete responsibility for the life of the community and for future generations.
"The celebration at Guruslau is described in generous terms such as glory, victory, power and future. This is how that moment 425 years ago was seen by most of the time, even if that victory turned out to be short-lived."
"We look carefully at voivode Mihai Viteazul, who proclaims, with the value of a testament, the mandatory unity for the true architecture of social life. If great things have happened in history, they are due to the unity of vision and working together", said His Eminence.
