I’ve sung a couple of those Chesnokov pieces in our choir – the blend with organ should be something special in that cathedral. Anyone been to one of Znamenie’s concerts before? I might try to get down to Agen for this one on the 8th.

I heard Znamenie sing in Paris a couple of years ago, their voices are very even. I wonder how Gretchaninoff will sound with an organ in Saint-Capre Cathedral, the acoustics there should be good. Maybe one of our people will go on July 8th, it would be great to meet after.

Good program, especially Grechaninov with the organ. In our choir we also sang Chesnokov, but without an organ - I wonder how it will sound in the Saint-Capre Cathedral. Maybe some of our people will actually go; it would be nice to sit and have tea afterwards.

Good program, Gretchaninov with organ in Agia Capre must sound nice. I have only heard Chesnokov without an organ in our choir, I would like to see how it goes. If anyone goes from here, tell us afterwards how it was.

I would like to go to Agen on July 8, the Saint-Caprais cathedral has an acoustic that I have always liked. In our parish we sing the Chesnokov several times without an organ, so I am very interested in how it will sound with Slava Chevliakov. If anyone from here goes, tell them later how the Gretchaninoff turned out.

I agree, Gretchaninov with an organ in Agia Capre will sound particularly warm. I have seen Chesnokov with an organ in an earlier concert in Paris and it seemed to me that he fills the space nicely without drowning the voices. If you go, George, tell us about the sound of the instrument.

Yes, their voices are really even, I also attended their performance in Paris in ’23. Gretchaninoff with an organ in Saint-Capre - it will be interesting, the acoustics there are really spacious, like in old French cathedrals. Timofey, are you planning to come on July 8th or are you just thinking about it?

Good idea about the tea after the concert. I’m just about to leave Munich, I love Grechaninov with the organ - they rarely sing it in our parish. What kind of Chesnokov was in your choir, “Not Imams of Other Help” or something else?

It’s good that you sing Grechaninov with an organ, they don’t often take it here in Rostov either. In “Znamenie” Chesnokov had “Save, Lord, Thy people” and “Blessed”. After the concert in Agen, will you go straight back to Munich or will you stay for a couple of days?

Yes, the idea of Gretchaninov with an organ in St. Capre sounds very warm to me too. I will go from Limassol if I can find a cheap flight, so I will try to sit in the front to see how the space fills up. When did you see this concert in Paris, Dimitra?
