“This is the largest icon of the holy Passion-Bearing Tsar on planet Earth”: a solemn consecration of a mural in honor of the Holy Tsar Nicholas II took place in Yekaterinburgtranslated

A large-scale image of the holy Tsar-Passion-Bearer Nicholas II was consecrated today, on the feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, November 4, 2026, in the very center of Yekaterinburg during a citywide religious procession.
The ceremonial consecration of a mural in honor of the Holy Tsar-Passion-Bearer Nicholas II on the building of the Office of the Federal State Statistics Service on st. Tolmacheva, 23, was performed by the head of the Yekaterinburg Metropolitanate, Metropolitan Evgeniy, and the senior priest of the Church-Monument on the Blood, Archpriest Maxim Minyailo.
– This image is a dialogue. We will walk by, approach and stop. The believer will take off his hat, cross himself, and bow to the Emperor. This is our appeal. And the Sovereign Emperor will also look at it in return. He knows everyone by name, just as saints know. He will look, listen, correct someone, support someone, thank someone, and scold someone for the wrongs that exist in our lives,” Metropolitan Evgeniy said about the meaning of the mural at the solemn consecration.
The head of the metropolis performed a prayer service on a stage specially erected next to the mural for today’s event, and Father Maxim sprinkled holy water on the image...
