On September 1, 2026, Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalinsk took part in a solemn event dedicated to the beginning of the academic year and the Day of Knowledge at the Branch of the Omsk State Pedagogical University in Tara.
The event was also attended by the director of the university Lyudmila Petrovna Berestovskaya, guests, teachers, students and parents of university students.
The holiday began with a ceremonial formation in front of the university building, raising the State flag, banners of the Omsk region and the educational institution, after which the event continued in the assembly hall of the Omsk State Pedagogical University branch.
This year, the honorary right to raise the flags of the Russian Federation, Omsk Region and the Branch of Omsk State Pedagogical University in Tara was granted to the senior teacher of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Development Sergei Konstantinovich Krivorotov, 2nd year student of the “Physical Culture and Life Safety” profile Ivan Boldasov, as well as 1st year student of the “Russian Language and Literature” profile Eduard Bakin.
