On October 7-8, 2026, on the day of the repose of St. Sergius, abbot of Radonezh, wonderworker, celebrations were held in the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, led by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.

Bishop Vikenty of Tara and Tyukalin took part in the services.

The archpastor, with the bishops and clergy, concelebrated with Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsa and Kolomna, Patriarchal Vicar of the Moscow Metropolis, in the Sergius Refectory Church of the Lavra.

On the day itself, according to tradition, bishop's services were performed in other churches of the Lavra. The service of the Divine Liturgy in the Trinity Cathedral was led by Metropolitan Barsanuphius of St. Petersburg and Ladoga, in the Holy Spirit Church - by Metropolitan Vikenty of Tashkent and Uzbekistan, head of the Central Asian Metropolitan District, in the Pokrovsky Academic Church - by Metropolitan Theodosius of Tambov and Rasskazov, in the Chernigov monastery — Metropolitan Philip of Syktyvkar and Komi-Zyryansk.

His Holiness led the Divine Liturgy in the Assumption Cathedral. At the end of the service, the Primate of our Church addressed all those praying with the word:
