Bishop Artemy of Taganrog celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky in the village of Vasilyevo-Petrovskoye, Azov district, Rostov regiontranslated

On September 12, 2026, on the day of the transfer of the relics of the Holy Blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky, the vicar of the Rostov diocese, Bishop of Taganrog Artemy, celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Holy Blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky in the village of Vasilyevo-Petrovskoye, Azov district, Rostov region.
His Eminence was co-served by the dean of the Azov regional district, Priest Nikolai Chapky, the rector of the church, Hieromonk Nikolai (Kozhin), and clergy of the Azov regional deanery.
The head of the administration of the Azov region Sergei Komarov, church patron Yuri Mukovoz, as well as parishioners and pilgrims prayed during the service.
At the special litany, a prayer was offered for Holy Russia.
The hymns of the Divine Liturgy were performed by the choir under the direction of regent Elena Borisova. The sermon before Holy Communion was delivered by Priest Viktor Kovalchuk.
At the end of the service, a procession of the cross and glorification of the holy blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky took place. Then, His Eminence addressed the worshipers with an archpastoral word, conveying the blessing of Metropolitan Mercury of Rostov and Novocherkassk and congratulations on the occasion of the throne day.
