Bishop Porfiry consecrated the chapel and spring in the agricultural town of Vishnevotranslated

On July 4, 2026, in the agricultural town of Vishnevo, Bishop Porfiry of Lida and Smornon, co-served by the dean of the Smorgon district, Archpriest Anatoly Rezanovich, responsible for the pilgrimage department in the Belarusian Exarchate, Archpriest Alexander Shariton, cleric of the deanery, Priest Alexander Deshuk, consecrated the chapel in honor of the Holy Prince Dmitry Donskoy on the shore of Lake Vishnevskoye.

The diaconate was headed by the cleric of the St. Michael's Cathedral in the city of Lida, Archpriest Anatoly Melnitsky. Liturgical chants were performed by the choir of the Transfiguration Cathedral in the city of Smorgon under the direction of regent Ksenia Dagotskaya.

The service was attended by honored guests: Chairman of the Smorgon District Executive Committee Andrei Valerievich Gordey, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies Sergei Nikolaevich Kudenchuk, patrons, parishioners and guests. At the end of the prayer service, His Eminence consecrated the chapel, a source in honor of the Zhirovichi Icon of the Mother of God, a park area, a children's complex and a memorial plaque about the significant event that took place.
