On July 11, on the day of remembrance of the “Three-Handed” Icon of the Mother of God, in the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the agricultural town of Druya, Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe led the Divine Liturgy during the Summer Rally of Orthodox Youth of the Polotsk Diocese.
At the walls of the church with bread and salt and flowers, Bishop Ignatius was met by representatives of the Orthodox youth of the Polotsk diocese.
Concelebrating with His Eminence were: the dean of the Sharkovshchina church district, Archpriest Viktor Voloshchuk, the dean of the Rossony church district, Archpriest Alexander Gordevich, the head of the department for work with youth in the Polotsk diocese, Archpriest Igor Chechukovich, Archpriest Sergius Kovalsky, Deacon Ioann Kamenkov, and Deacon Boris Marmuzevich.
Liturgical chants were performed by a youth choir under the direction of Tatyana Chechukovich.
During the service, intense prayer requests for the restoration of peace were offered.
According to the sacramental verse, the sermon was delivered by the rector of the church, Archpriest Igor Chechukovich.
After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence and the concelebrating clergy performed a prayer service with the consecration of the icon of the Mother of God, called the “Three-Handed One.”
