Bishop Veniamin consecrated a new trinity: the Cross became the sign of victory over deathtranslated

Bishop Veniamin of South Bessarabia consecrated a new triplet on Saturday at the "Holy Trinity" Monastery in Roșu, Republic of Moldova.

The hierarch emphasized that the Holy Cross "became the sign of the victory over death and the liberation of the human race from the slavery of sin and the devil."

Sign of faith His Eminence explained the deep meaning of the cross in the life of Christians, showing that although in ancient times it was an instrument of torture, through the sacrifice of Christ, it became a source of salvation.

"The Savior was allowed to suffer in order to free us from the slavery of death and the devil and to give us the grace and strength to remain in permanent communion with God," said the hierarch.

At the same time, His Holiness Father Veniamin highlighted the tradition in Bessarabia of raising tricots at crossroads, in front of churches or in places marked by important events, becoming testimonies of faith.

"Each of us, looking towards the Holy Cross, let us take up the cross of our life with humility and dignity and so we will receive the grace of the Crucified One".

The new triple was erected with the support of several benefactors, on the site of an older, damaged one...
