The Bishop of Hungary participated in the consecration of a parish in Pitesti: Let us have faith like that of St. Demetrius, the Fountain of Peacetranslated

His Holiness Father Siluan, the Bishop of Hungary, served on Monday, on the feast of St. Demetrius, the Fountain of Peace, in the Parish of Găvana 3 in Pitesti, on the occasion of the church's patron. The hierarch urged the faithful to cultivate a faith similar to that of the great martyr.
"He considered faith in Christ a great gift from the Good God and a strength, and it is at the same time a promise that it is very good to keep with all the strength of our soul, so that we too, like the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius, can overcome all the challenges and trials of this world," said His Eminence.
The Bishop of Hungary emphasized that St. Demetrius, the Source of Myrrh, confessed his faith at the cost of his life.
"Saint Demetrius is called the Fountain of Myrrh because God also gave him this gift, not only that of testifying at the cost of his life for Christ, but also of being close to Christians and anointing and healing their wounds and illnesses with the oil that the Good God and our Savior Jesus Christ gave Him."
At the end of the Holy Liturgy, His Eminence officiated a memorial service for the founders and benefactors of the church who passed on to the Lord.
