The Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the USA have approved a dictionary in Sign Languagetranslated

The Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the USA, where His Holiness Father Nicolae, the Romanian Orthodox Metropolitan of the two Americas is also a member, recently approved a Dictionary of Orthodox Terms in Sign Language.
The editorial team included Elder Karen Bartz (interpreter), Greg Coogan, Hannah Mann and Lola Lee Beno, along with Savannah Foster, president of the Orthodox Christian Deaf Association (OCDA).
Deacon Tigran Khachikyan, Emily Hart (interpreter) and Mah-Rya Proper (interpreter) participated remotely in the presentation of the work.
A common catechism is being worked on Also, the hierarchs approved the continuation of work in the field of catechesis, through the involvement of several commissions and working groups. The Orthodox Churches in the USA are making efforts to develop a common catechetical manual – this one in ordinary language, not sign language.
"Our catechism must reflect what we confess every year on Orthodoxy Sunday," emphasized Archbishop Elpidofor, president of the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the USA.
