Excursion for teachers in Zaraysktranslated

On October 8, on the day of remembrance of St. Sergius of Radonezh, abbot of the Russian land, great mentor and educator, and the Day of Further Education Workers, an educational excursion for educational workers took place as part of the municipal program of spiritual, moral and patriotic education and the project “Spiritual Routes of Zaraysk”. Deputy directors for education, teacher-organizers and advisers for educational work visited the holy places of the 2nd Zaraisk deanery district. This project is aimed at in-depth study of the history of the native land, expansion of local history knowledge and spiritual enrichment of both teachers and their students. The excursion participants visited several unique churches: the Smolensk Church in the village of Karino; St. Nicholas Church in the village of Avdeevo; Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God in the village of Letunovo. The rector of all three churches, Archpriest Mikhail Sokrutov, performed a prayer service to St. Sergius of Radonezh in the church in the village of Letunovo.
