Environmental action at Mozhaisk hospital: caring for nature and peopletranslated

On September 6, 2026, a kind and significant event was held in Mozhaisk, dedicated to the Day of Preservation of God’s Creation. A large-scale planting of trees and shrubs took place on the territory of the Mozhaisk Central District Hospital.
The event united the efforts of religious and public organizations. The organizers were:
• rector of the Luzhetsky Nativity of the Virgin Mary Ferapontov Monastery, Hegumen David (Kurguzov);
• rector of the Church of the Archangel Michael in the city of Mozhaisk, priest Sergius Andriyanov;
• rector of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Pushkino, responsible in the deanery for interaction with medical institutions, Archpriest Anthony Nazarenko;
• deputy head of the public organization “Good Things” Philip Bondarenko;
• Deputy Chief Physician of the Mozhaisk Central District Hospital Alexander Pikalev.
Despite the inclement weather, the mood of all participants was truly joyful and upbeat. Active church parishioners and Sunday school students got down to business and planted over 50 seedlings. Green spaces not only decorate the territory of the medical institution, but will also eventually become a cozy corner for patients and doctors to walk around.
