Education in Romanian in Ukraine: A study will analyze the differences between the law and reality in schoolstranslated

The study carried out by the Institute of Political Studies and Social Capital in Chernivtsi will analyze the differences between the legislative framework and reality in schools with Romanian language teaching in Ukraine.
According to a press release sent by the institution, the research is carried out through the project "Education in Romanian in Ukraine: between the normative framework and the reality in schools (EDU-RO-UA)", financed by the Department for Romanians Everywhere with 76,000 lei. The analysis covers the regions of Chernivtsi, Odesa and Transcarpathia.
Challenges for the education of Romanians in Ukraine According to the statement, the war, migration, the decrease in the number of children and the reorganization of the school network raise new problems regarding the possibility for students to study in their mother tongue.
"To understand the effects of these changes, up-to-date and comparable data are needed on schools, teachers, educational resources and the conditions under which children can continue their education," the statement said.
