Ecumenical Patriarch welcomes pilgrims from Crete and Salamina

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew attended the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, November 1, 2026, during which Metropolitan Eirinaios of Myriophyton and Peristasis presided.
Following the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Ecumenical Patriarch warmly welcomed pilgrims from abroad, extending a special greeting to two groups from Greece.
The first group came from Crete and was led by Bishop Eirinaios of Eumeneia, Abbot of the Holy Patriarchal and Stavropegial Monastery of Our Lady of the Angels Gouverneto in Chania.
The second group consisted of pilgrims from Salamina, accompanied by Archimandrite Nathanael Felesakis, parish priest of the Church of Panagia Imvriotissa.
Patriarch Bartholomew expressed his joy at welcoming the pilgrims and, at the conclusion of the service, personally distributed the antidoron (blessed bread) and small commemorative gifts to the faithful.
