Ecumenical Patriarch visits historic Church of Saint Nicholas in Bodrum
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who is on a private visit to Bodrum (Halicarnassus) in Asia Minor, visited the historic Church of Saint Nicholas in the city center on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
The church, which dates back to 1780, is currently undergoing restoration work.
Patriarch Bartholomew was first welcomed at Bodrum City Hall by Mayor Tamer Mandalinci, who subsequently accompanied him to the historic church.
During his visit, the Ecumenical Patriarch was briefed on site about the restoration works currently being carried out at the centuries-old Church of Saint Nicholas.
