Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received in audience Nun Christonymphi, Abbess of the Holy Monastery of the Annunciation of the Beloved Mother on Patmos, together with members of the monastery’s sisterhood, at the Phanar.

During the meeting, the Abbess presented to the Ecumenical Patriarch an artistic leather parchment bearing the Patriarchal and Synodal Act of the Canonization of Saint Amphilochios Makris of Patmos, the founder of their monastery. He signed the parchment, which will be preserved at the Holy Monastery of the Annunciation on Patmos.

The Ecumenical Patriarch also received Nikolaos Papaioannou, Deputy Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports of Greece.

Among the visitors welcomed by the Ecumenical Patriarch were the Mayors of Zakynthos and Lefkada, Georgios Stasinopoulos and Xenophon Verginis, respectively, accompanied by municipal officials and associates.
