Ecumenical Patriarch presents commemorative books to Archbishop of America (VIDEO)

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew presented two commemorative publications to Archbishop Elpidophoros of America during a recent visit to the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Constantinople, as celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of his patriarchal ministry continue.

Following an earlier meeting, the Ecumenical Patriarch exchanged gifts with Archbishop Elpidophoros and the other hierarchs present.

Before the delegation departed from the Patriarchate, Patriarch Bartholomew invited Archbishop Elpidophoros to his private office, where he presented him with two books: a collection of selected articles by the Ecumenical Patriarch and the volume Thirty Years of Patriarchate: The Human Face of an Ancient Institution , edited by Archdeacon John Chryssavgis.

The gesture reflected the longstanding personal and ecclesiastical relationship between the Ecumenical Patriarch and the Archbishop of America.

Archbishop Elpidophoros has also contributed a personal testimony to the anniversary volume Thirty-Five Years of Patriarchate , published to commemorate Patriarch Bartholomew’s 35 years of service.
