In the village of Tambovka, Sargat district, a memorable event is another working visit of Bishop Vikenty of Tarsk and Tyukalinsk. The archpastor visited the village to support the sisters of the female monastic community and to pray for the successful establishment of the building of the Mother of God-Vladimir monastery.

The visit began with prayer at the revered icon of the Mother of God “Three-Handed”. Bishop Vincent was met by the elder construction sister nun Sergia (Debus) along with the sisters of the community.

It's good to see Bishop Vincenty taking time to check the хозяйственный двор and the sister quarters — those practical bits are what keep a place running for the nuns and any pilgrims who show up. The Троеручица icon has always been special; praying right in front of it in the new temple must have felt solid. Praying the sisters get the patience he talked about, building anything worthwhile takes a lot of it.

It is joyful that Vladyka Vikenty first inspected the utility yard and the sisters' building - no monastery could survive without this. In Bulgaria, too, they always said that without a good vegetable garden and outbuildings, the monastery would quickly wither away. Nun Sergia apparently knows the business, since everything is growing so well.
