In the village of Tambovka, Sargat district, a memorable event is another working visit of Bishop Vikenty of Tarsk and Tyukalinsk. The archpastor visited the village to support the sisters of the female monastic community and to pray for the successful establishment of the building of the Mother of God-Vladimir monastery.
The visit began with prayer at the revered icon of the Mother of God “Three-Handed”. Bishop Vincent was met by the elder construction sister nun Sergia (Debus) along with the sisters of the community.
The bishop paid special attention to inspecting the newly consecrated church, the territory and objects of the monastery under construction, including the sisters’ building and the utility yard, which is needed in the daily life of the community and in the further functioning of the monastery. The economic part is not just an auxiliary area, but a necessary component of the monastic way of life, allowing the community to provide for itself and receive pilgrims.
The central event of the visit was a prayer service in the newly consecrated church in honor of the “Three-Handed” icon of the Mother of God and a prayer service at this image.
