Spiritual and educational excursion “The Church is the House of God”translated

As part of the library project “Find the way to your soul,” on November 4, pupils of the school educational and health camp “Solnyshko” of the State Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 3 named after V.V. Shcherbakov, Novopolotsk,” together with teachers and the school library librarian Elena Ivanovna Salchuk, visited the parish of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel.

A tour of the church took place for schoolchildren. The parish librarian Olga Bakunovich told the children that every person needs the Lord's help in good deeds. Therefore, prayers are always offered in churches for the well-being of the city residents. And the heavenly patron of Novopolotsk is Archangel Michael - the military leader of God's Angels.

The schoolchildren got acquainted with the parish library and learned that they can read about God and the Most Holy Theotokos in the books: “Children’s Bible”, “The Gospel Retold for Children”, “My First Sacred Story”, “Lessons of the Law of God”.

At the end, a master class in bell ringing was held, which was conducted by the Deputy Rector for Economic Affairs Sergei Georgievich Emavsky. Everyone had the opportunity to ring the bells themselves.
