Spiritual support on the front line: Priest Sergius’s trip to the Northern Military District zonetranslated

Priest Sergius, rector of the church in honor of the holy monks Zosima and Savvaty of Solovetsky in the village of Is, again went to the zone of a special military operation. This is not his first trip - the priest regularly strives to be where spiritual support is especially needed.

During the trip, Father Sergius acts together with the volunteer association “Reliable Rear”: together they move along the front line and deliver parcels to recipients. For the Russian defenders, the priest prepared pocket icons - small shrines that can become a source of consolation and inner strength for soldiers.

While in the Northern Military District zone, Priest Sergius performs prayer services and devotes time to the spiritual edification of military personnel. His ministry is a living support, a word of comfort and a reminder that each of the defenders is remembered and prayed for.
