The clergy of the Gomel diocese took part in the regional parent meetingtranslated

In Gomel, on October 29, 2026, a single regional parents’ meeting was held online with the participation of the clergy of the Gomel diocese.

The meeting was dedicated to the psychological safety of children and adolescents, the prevention of suicidal behavior and the organization of safe leisure time for schoolchildren during the autumn holidays. Participants discussed how parents can promptly notice alarming changes in a child’s behavior and build trusting communication with him.

Priest Andrey Kisel, cleric of the Peter and Paul Cathedral in Gomel, gave a presentation on the topic “Spiritual support for a child in moments of crisis and loss of direction.” The priest emphasized the importance of parental attention, love and sincere participation in the lives of children, especially during difficult periods for them.

The organizers noted the importance of cooperation between families, educational institutions and the Church in caring for the well-being of children and adolescents.
