Confidential conversation helps support the childtranslated

On October 29, 2026, a school-wide parent meeting was held at the State Educational Institution “Secondary School No. 23 of Gomel” on the topic “Prevention of suicidal risk among adolescents.” Priest Alexander Pukov, clergyman of the Church of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious, spoke to the parents.
The priest recalled the value of human life as a gift from God. He called on parents to pay attention to the emotional state of their children, find time to communicate, discuss emerging difficulties and look for solutions together.
Priest Alexander emphasized that, having noticed alarming changes in the behavior or mood of a child, it is important to seek help in a timely manner, without expecting that everything will work out on its own. He also invited parents and teenagers to come to the parish for spiritual support.
