Two exhibitions dedicated to church life in Maramureș will be presented in Satu Maretranslated

Two exhibitions about Bishop Nicolae Popovici and the beginnings of the "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" Church in Satu Mare will be presented in the emblematic place of worship for the municipality. The opening will be addressed by Fr. Gabriel Gorgan, the archpriest of Satu Mare, Fr. Cristian Boloș from the "Assumption of the Virgin Mary" Church in Satu Mare, Fr. Dorel Octavian Rusu and Cristina Liana Pușcaș, museographer at the Oradea museum institution. According to the Criș Land Museum – Oradea, the Exhibition “Bishop Nicolae Popovici – 90 years since his enthronement” aims to pay tribute to the outstanding personality of the Bishop of Oradea, who fought for the faith during the communist regime. The second exhibition marks the 89th anniversary of the consecration of the foundation stone of the Church of the “Assumption of the Virgin Mary” in Satu Mare by Bishop Nicolae Popovici. The exhibitions were supported by the National Council for the Study of the Archives of the Securitate, which made available the entire photo-documentary material from Nicolae Popovici's files processed by the communist Securitate.
