Two historical monument churches, including that of the Comana Monastery, will be restored with European fundstranslated

The Pastoral Social Center "St. M. Martyr Gheorghe" of the Diocese of Giurgiu last week hosted the signing of contracts for the project aimed at the Consolidation, restoration, preservation and enhancement of the "St. Nicholas" Church in the Comana Monastery complex and the "St. Treime" Church in Popești-Mihăilești, Giurgiu county.
The event was attended by: Archim. Teodor Şerban, eparchial vicar; Archim. Mihail Muscariu, the exarch of the monasteries in the Diocese of Giurgiului; Liviu-Gabriel Mușat, the general director of the Agency for Regional Development (ADR) South-Muntenia; Toma Petcu, president of the Giurgiu County Council; Alexandru-Ioan Andrei, deputy; Adrian-Gabriel Gâjâilă, mayor of Mihăilești; Aurel-Florian Enache, mayor of Comana commune; Rev. Mihăiță Constantin, parish priest of the "Holy Trinity" church in Popești-Mihăilești.
