Two octogenarians involved in the life of a parish in Maramureș, distinguished by the local mayortranslated

Perța Ioan, epitrop of the "Holy Trinity" Parish - Lăpuș I, and Benedec Ioan, parish councilor and church singer at the pew of the same parish, were honored by the mayor of the town and the parish priest on their 80th anniversary.
The mayor of Lăpuș commune, Buda Cristina, presented the two octogenarians with a birthday plaque each.
The bishop of the parish celebrated eight decades of life in September, being congratulated by priest Ioan Mariș.
"The years of service, faith, constancy and love for the Holy Church make him a man of hope for our parish. We thank him for all the effort, for the support offered and for all the good done with discretion and dedication. May the good God reward his effort, grant him health, peace and joy with his loved ones," the priest said in a post on his page by Facebook.
Also, the church singer Bendeac Ioan was congratulated on his 80th birthday on Sunday.
As a sign of appreciation, the priest presented him with a diploma of gratitude for the faith, steadfastness, love and devotion with which he served the Church over the years.
