The installation of the dome on the church under construction in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Joy of All Who Sorrow” on Green Avenue in the Novogireevo district will be completed before December 25, 2026, said Russian State Duma deputy, Patriarchal Advisor Vladimir Resin.

– From October 1, specialists begin installing a wooden pitched roof; this work will last until the end of June next year. In parallel, from October 15 to December 25, builders will install the dome. A specialized organization was involved in the manufacture and subsequent installation of the domes,” Vladimir Resin was quoted as saying by his press service.

It is noted that the future church complex on Green Avenue will become the main church of veteran organizations of combatants.

A stone church is being built on the site of a former wasteland in the Afghan park. The complex will harmoniously fit into the surrounding urban development of the residential area and will become an architectural and social center of attraction for local residents, veterans and youth.
