The Synodal Department for Charity announced the start of accepting applications for participation in the XIII All-Russian competition for helping the homeless named after Nadezhda Monetova.
Until September 30, 2026, employees and volunteers of church, state and public institutions helping the homeless can submit their applications for participation in the competition, reports the press service of the Synodal Department for Charity.
An important point is that this year for the first time applications are accepted not only from Russia, but also from other countries.
“We are organizing this competition in order to improve the quality of assistance to homeless people and to attract as many people as possible to this service,” said Andrei Yakunin, head of assistance to the homeless of the Synodal Department for Charity. – We are trying to disseminate the work experience of the winning projects of the competition, we plan to present their practices in a separate material on the website of the Synodal Department for Charity, specialists in the field will be able to undergo internships based on these projects. Another goal of the competition is to encourage employees who devote their lives to helping the homeless.
