The days of St. Simeon will be prayerfully celebrated in the spiritual capital of the Urals on September 24 and 25translated

On September 24-25, pilgrims from the Urals, Siberia and other regions of Russia will traditionally arrive in the spiritual capital of the Urals - Verkhoturye - to take part in services and venerate the holy relics of the righteous Simeon. These days, bishop's services will be held in Verkhoturye.

The day of the second transfer of the relics of the holy righteous Simeon of Verkhoturye and the wonderworker of all Siberia is celebrated by the Russian Orthodox Church on September 25.

On Thursday, September 24, in the St. Nicholas Verkhoturye Monastery, in the Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Cross, small vespers with the reading of the Akathist and the All-Night Vigil will be celebrated. Services begin at 16:00.

On Friday, September 25, the Divine Liturgy will be held at the monastery, which will be led by Metropolitan Evgeniy of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye and a host of archpastors. Starts at 9:00.

Let us remind you that the Verkhoturye Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Cross is one of the largest in Russia - after the Moscow Cathedral of Christ the Savior and St. Isaac's Cathedral in St. Petersburg.
