In January 2027, there are no special days of remembrance of the dead, that is, parental Saturdays. There are only eight such days in the year: Ecumenical - shortly before Lent, three Saturdays during Lent itself, Radonitsa - after Easter, the day of remembrance of soldiers on May 9, Trinity in the summer and Dimitrievskaya in the fall. But, of course, not only on these days does the Church pray for the departed, and believers always remember deceased loved ones in their daily prayer.

Christians believe that the physical death of the body does not end the life of the soul, and through prayer we maintain contact with those with whom we can no longer talk here on Earth, but hope to meet in eternal life. Now we cannot take care of them in any other way except by turning to God with a request to forgive them their sins and give them peace and quiet. And it is with this petition that believers come to churches on special days of remembrance of the dead, or on days of remembrance (birthdays, days of death), or on Saturdays, when memorial services are held in many churches after the liturgy.
