The director of the “Sunny Circle” center took part in an internship in social service in Yekaterinburgtranslated

From October 27 to October 30, the XVII Interregional Conference on Church Social Ministry was held in Yekaterinburg. As part of the event, an internship was held dedicated to the development of church and social projects to help people with disabilities. The director of the inclusive center “Sunny Circle” Tatyana Palshintseva took part in it.

The conference and internship participants included leaders of church social initiatives, churches and non-profit organizations from various dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church. The main goal was to get acquainted with the experience of the Yekaterinburg diocese in supporting children and young people with disabilities, including orphans.

In the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Metropolitan Ekaterinburg and Verkhotursk Evgeniy celebrated the Divine Liturgy, during which the guests of the conference prayed.

Then the participants visited the socio-pedagogical rehabilitation center for disabled children “Cherepashka” and an orphanage in the Chkalovsky district of Yekaterinburg. In the orphanage, Priest Alexy Rusinov had a conversation with teenagers, and a team-building game and a round table on issues of accompanying young people with disabilities were organized.
