La cathédrale diocésaine accueille une icône miraculeusetraduit
CHICAGO, IL [DOM] – La cathédrale diocésaine de Chicago et du Midwest, la cathédrale Holy Trinity de Chicago, IL, a accueilli l'icône miraculeuse Iveron hawaïenne de la Mère de Dieu le lundi 7 septembre, préfête de la Nativité de la Théotokos.
The Icon was greeted by Priest Alexander Koranda, Cathedral Dean and Priest Philip Maikkula and brought to the center of the Cathedral. La Divine Liturgie a été servie par le P. Alexander, Priest Nectarios Yangson, the Guardian of the Icon, Fr. Philippe et le diacre Seraphim Andov. The Cathedral Choir was directed by Reader Vladimir Lymar.
Following the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, the Akathist to the Hawaiian Icon was served. His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of Chicago and the Diocese of the Midwest offered his prayers before the Holy Icon.
A la conclusion de l'Akathiste, le P. Nectarios offered a few words on the gospel reading and the miracles that he has recently witnessed during the Holy Icon’s travels. The faithful had the opportunity to venerate the Icon and be anointed with the holy myrrh that is streaming from the Icon.
