Dialogue highlights human rights concerns of Tanzanian churches and communities

A human rights dialogue hosted by the World Council of Churches (WCC) and Lutheran World Federation, featuring Tanzanian faith-based actors, highlighted the concerns of Tanzanian churches and communities. Tanzania has been through three Universal Periodic Reviews. In 2026, an interfaith coalition offered formal input for the fourth Universal Periodic Review.

Interfaith leaders from Tanzania, coordinated by the Lutheran World Federation and Dan Mission, traveled to Geneva to present their report and participate in several briefings ahead of the Universal Periodic Review, which will take place in Geneva on 5 November.
