The children's and youth choir "Joy" made a pilgrimage to Astrakhantranslated

From October 11 to 12, 2026, with the blessing of Archbishop Justinian of Elista and Kalmykia, the children’s and youth choir “Joy” of the Sunday school of the Kazan Cathedral in the city of Elista made a pilgrimage to Astrakhan. During the trip, the guys visited the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theater, where they watched P. I. Tchaikovsky’s ballet “The Sleeping Beauty.” By agreement between the Elista and Astrakhan dioceses, the clergy of the Astrakhan diocese gave the choir members a tour of the Astrakhan Kremlin. The children got acquainted with its history, visited churches and venerated the holy relics. The trip participants also took a boat trip along the Volga. The Elista diocese expresses gratitude to the Astrakhan diocese for its assistance in organizing the pilgrimage trip.
