The children's choir of the Transfiguration Church in Gomel presented its first video cliptranslated

October 19, 2026 · 1 min read

The children's choir of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Gomel presented a video clip for the song “Lord my God, bless your people,” created based on a poem by St. Nicholas of Serbia translated by Dmitry Shatalov.

Not long ago, with the blessing of the rector of the parish, Archpriest Oleg Kostroma, a children's choir under the direction of Natalya Babich was organized at the church. Today, young singers regularly participate in the liturgical life of the parish and sing at the Divine Liturgy on Saturdays.

Now the choir has its first own video clip.

Working on the song and filming became a new creative experience for the guys. They learned the piece, rehearsed, prepared for recording, and now presented the result of their collaboration.

The children's choir is one of the activities of the Sunday school of the Transfiguration parish. During the classes, children get acquainted with church singing, learn to hear each other and sing together. Sunday school students also study the basics of the Orthodox faith, participate in creative projects, holidays and other parish events.

Enrollment in the Sunday school at the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Gomel for the current school year continues.
