“Children draw in the church”: an annual event took place in the Transfiguration Cathedraltranslated

On the eve of the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the secular holiday of Mother's Day and the Week of Parental Love, the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord traditionally held an annual educational event - an art hour: “Children draw in the church.”

The action was attended by wards of the Sunday school, as well as pupils of the Smorgon regional center for creativity of children and youth with the head of additional art education Nina Stanislavovna Mironova. The theme of the drawings is “Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary” and “Parental love”.

In their works, the participants of the action reflected the most important human values: loyalty, love and the warmth of a mother’s heart. Archpriest Anatoly reminded the children of the spiritual connection between earthly motherhood and the heavenly intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, wishing the young artists sincere inspiration.
