Children from the social rehabilitation center visited the Spassky Convent on the day of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of Godtranslated

On October 26, the rector of the church in the name of the Holy Apostle John the Theologian. Prigorodny, cleric of the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Ulyanovsk, Priest Alexy Palevka and the head of the department for work with youth of the Simbirsk diocese Sergey Nikolaev conducted a tour of the Spassky Convent for the children from the children's social rehabilitation center "Open House".

The children climbed the bell tower and saw the city from a bird's eye view, visited the gate church in honor of all the saints who shone in the land of Simbirsk, prayed in the church in the name of the Venerable Martyr Catherine of Simbirsk and learned about the history of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God in the house church in honor of this icon. Father Alexy laid flowers at the revered shrine on the day of its celebration, and also anointed the children with blessed oil.

At the end of the excursion, the head of the diocesan youth department handed small icons to the young guests of the monastery and invited them on excursions to other churches in the city.
